kolect

Send money to kolect users and bank accounts

Send money to another kolect user, or transfer to a Nigerian bank account. Before you confirm, the review screen shows you the recipient, the amount and any applicable fee, so there are no surprises after you tap send.

Every transfer leaves a receipt and a status you can check later, which settles the usual “did you get my transfer?” conversation for good.

01

Receive money with just your kolect tag

Other kolect users can send you money with just your kolect tag.

02

Your own account number for funding

Once your wallet is activated you get your own 10-digit account number. Transfer into it from any Nigerian bank to add money to your balance.

03

Request money you are owed

Send a money request to another kolect user instead of chasing them in a chat. Incoming and outgoing requests sit in the app, so both of you can see what is still open.

04

Built to keep your money safe

Balances are held with a licensed banking partner. Wallet activation includes identity verification, and every wallet action needs your transaction PIN. Never share your PIN or any verification code, including with anyone who says they work for kolect.

05

A separate wallet for every group

Groups get their own wallet, separate from your personal one, so contributions never sit in an organiser’s personal account. Members can see contribution records, and payouts follow the group’s rules.

How it works.

  1. 1

    Activate your wallet

Verify your identity and set a transaction PIN.

  2. 2

    Add money

Transfer into your own account number, or get paid to your kolect tag.

  3. 3

    Send, request, pay

Move money and keep every receipt in your history.

Questions, answered.
