Run your Ajo savings club online

kolect digitises the traditional rotating savings club. Set the contribution and the rotation, invite members with one link, and let the app track every contribution, send the reminders and coordinate each payout.

What is Ajo?

Ajo (also called esusu or a thrift club) is a rotating savings group. Every member contributes the same amount each cycle, and each cycle one member takes the whole pot, until everyone has had a turn.

It works because people trust each other. It breaks down when someone has to keep the records in a notebook, chase late contributions, and hold everyone’s money in a personal account.

01

A rotation everyone can verify

kolect manages the rotation schedule, so every member can see whose turn it is and when their own payout comes. The order is visible to the whole group, not kept in one person’s head.

02

Contributions tracked, reminders sent

Every contribution is recorded and visible to members. Automated reminders go out before and after each deadline, so the organiser never has to chase anyone.

03

The group’s money stays in the group’s wallet

Each Ajo has its own group wallet, separate from the organiser’s personal account. Payouts follow the group’s rules rather than one person’s say-so, and the group wallet keeps statements.

How it works.

  1. 1

    Create the Ajo

Set the contribution amount, cycle and members.

  2. 2

    Share one invite link

Members join and see exactly what is owed and when.

  3. 3

    Contribute and collect

kolect tracks every cycle and coordinates payouts.
